Hannah + John // Wedding // Milwaukee Yacht Club Wedding
Some couple travel the world to find each other. Much as Hannah and John did. Years back, John traveled to England for his Masters and while waiting in line for his Student ID, met a girl. Little did he know, she would turn up in class the next day and well, the rest is history. Originally from Milwaukee, John and Hannah decided to get married here at the Milwaukee Yacht Club to celebrate with close family before having a reception party with their extended family and friends back in England (where they now live, talk about a fairytale)! I had emailed back and forth with Hannah leading up to the wedding day, but only met the couple face to face the night before their wedding. To many, that might seem like a disaster in waiting, but this couple was so cool and collected and you could tell, they were just so ready to be married!
The day was beautiful. It was one of those perfect summer days to spend down on the lake. Before I joined the groom there though, I spent the morning with the Bride who had the cutest first look with her father and brother. This tight knit family had no dry eyes and for good reason. Hannah was such a beautiful bride. When arriving at the Yacht Club, the ceremony site was so intimate. There were about 40 chairs or so lined with US and UK flags flapping in the breeze; picture perfect. These two shared one of the most intimate ceremonies I have ever attended, including the people most important to them within the ceremony and sealed it all off with a cute kiss!
I was happy to be able to show them down the docks a bit (my family is a big sailing family, and we keep our boat at the MYC), and got them on another sailboat at the end of the docks for some beautiful portraits. Hannah & John, I hope you have a happy marriage! You two are a wonderful couple and I'm so honored to have worked with you!
